Crittenton announces 125th Anniversary Celebration ‘Gala to Go’
The community is invited to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Crittenton Services at “Gala to Go” on November 13 from 4 - 8pm at Oglebay’s Wilson Lodge.
However, there is no need to worry about renting a tux or buying a fancy dress. Social distancing will not be a factor as “Gala to Go” will more closely resemble a “drive-by” graduation party than a formal black tie event.
“These are certainly unprecedented times,” said Crittenton President and Chief Executive Officer Richard Royse. “Under normal circumstances, our popular “Paint the Town Pink” gala would have taken place in the spring, but I have a feeling that “Gala to Go” will also be well received by the community.
At “Gala to Go,” participants will be greeted as they drive up to the main entrance of Wilson Lodge. For the convenience of ticket holders, Royse plans to welcome everyone individually at the circle and personally hand out “Gala to Go” gift baskets containing “everything you need for your own personal night-out on the town.”
A Single Basket costs $125 and features a $50 Oglebay Dining Gift Certificate, a bottle of crisp fall wine, dessert, a centerpiece, and a limited edition 125th Anniversary Blanket. A Double Basket costs $200 and contains a $100 Oglebay Dining Gift Certificate, $20 West Spa Gift Certificate, bottle of wine, two desserts, a centerpiece, and a 125th Anniversary Blanket.
Ticket holders will also be eligible for a variety of door prizes featuring Oglebay overnight packages, Ihlenfeld Dining and West Spa Gift Certificates, and a number of gift sets.
Royse credits the staff at Crittenton for coming up with this exceptional idea and the community sponsors for their commitment to the event. “I really like the concept, especially during the global health crisis, and am amazed by the incredible support from the community,” he said. “The event will be safe, allow us to spend dedicated time with each supporter, and provide the opportunity to celebrate 125 years of Crittenton supporting West Virginia.”
According to Royse, the number of tickets available has been limited to 250. Baskets can be purchased at www.crittentonwv.org/galatogo or contact Jenna Richardson, public communications coordinator, at (304)-242-7060 for more information.
Event sponsors include Christian Fellowship Foundation, The Ziegenfelder Company, Bordas & Bordas, Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, Wesbanco, The Williams Foundation, AEP, Commonwealth Financial Services, Costanzo & Associates, Banford Exley, The Health Plan, Highmark BCBS, The Fitzsimmons Foundation, Lea Ridenhour, Hughes Equipment, McKenzie & Riedel Investment Consulting Group, Paull Associates, and Kathy Szafran. Sponsorship opportunities remain available. Contact Richardson for more information.
Royse finished, “We are so grateful for the community’s continued support of our mission and look forward to celebrating our 125th year of providing nurturing services to children and families of West Virginia on November 13.”
